Children go to school
Bunches of fours and fives
Some ware cloths not suitable for the weather
Carrying
Dragging
Rolling
Heavy backpacks
Shuffling their snickers
On pavement
Stopping at the intersections
Waiting for the crossing guards
Who stop the traffic
With their cardboard Stop-signs
Continue dragging their feet
Talking to each other
About everyday stuff
Movies
Games
Classes
Teachers
Cars
Space ships
Dogs
Dragons
Skateboard tricks
Snacks

I go with them
Slowed down by their flow
Looking at their little shoulders
And their uncombed heads
Listening to their little conversations

I don't need to go to school
I go to the park
To be alone

***

Start playing
Let's start the party
I have all these fruits and a fish
It's looking at you with regret
Tango
I never understand that move
Yes and that too
Stop piercing me with your cool glasses
I'll give you the chance
You'll shine

Confetti
All colors
All shapes that you have thought of
You put in that block of ice

But your feet are frozen
Some champagne?
Right on your head
You like it that way
I know
I sow you before
Before you even knew
That this party is for two

***

No
You can not take it
Ask for something less corruptive
Something that's easy to steal
You are not that kind
You prefer cash
Lot's of it
I'll give you that responsibility
Now you are in charge
Mr. General
Comrade
Your mama

Listen
Be so kind
Stand still
The pins can hurt you

You will be waltzing all night
She will be yours
And you will be smiling

Be careful
Watch for those images of yours
They will stay with me

And I will tell you when to stop

***

Just a little bit of white rice
In a blue bole
Steam is coming up
I like steam
I like being asked
But I'll wait
Let the thoughts find their way naturally
You watered those plants before leaving
Music
Loud enough to hear the beat
At times
A stray light reflected from the passing-by car
Now what?
Jasmine tea

***

I opened a book
And there were you
Smiling
Who knows
What I drunk last night
Just remember
The moon
And you
Walking on the gravel path
But chocolate taste
Inside the dressing room
Chased me far
Like a hound
Like it was so important
So beautiful and sad
And I was alone
Everybody asked me
But I knew only your name
And how you kissed me
Many times

Water in the river
Attracts seagulls
How many times
I knew you
And I still
Don't know

***

Why now?
Why holding everything in one hand
I despise my own approach
I look for the individuality
In commonness
In everydayness
What?
You disagree
I see that
In your eyes everything stands where you put it
Even I
Have my own place
In your sense of order
But wait
I will show you
What it means to be displaced
From start to finish
It's all just a big curve to avoid predisposed points
To fly free of attaching ties
Try to ignore it and you will be at the wall
Counting seconds

Dream # 1

Fish in the dark water
What do you want of me?
Tell me
Why is water so murky?
Why there are so many of you
Starring at me?
From behind the glass
Who built this tank?
The size of a big room
Who built this house?
With stairs going somewhere up
Calling me and warning all at the same time
I want to go
But the fish
Doesn't allow me
And somebody else
Behind

I know I have to finish
Something that I even didn't start
Something that everyone around me finished
And they have a good time
But I am excluded

Fish
Looks at me
Fish knows me
And I don't even know
Myself

***

Dream # 2

Dark room in a giant house
Dark and enormous all parts of it
Stairs
Walls
Lamps
Ceiling
No windows
No doors
Just walking from room to room
Magically
Being transferred
To other spaces
Equally dark
It's not unfriendly
But I don't want to be here
And I know that this is just a dream
But my will power can't make a door
To escape

***

The old man has an opinion
His dry lips put into a tight gap-less smile
Snowflakes just started their flight
But the ground is not ready
To receive their beauty
Too fragile
Too transparent
White
His blue eyes
The blue eyes of an old man
Cooled by years
By bad news
Too many for one individual

He knows that if one doesn't stand the ground
His small opinion would be wiped off
Like with a sponge soaked in a antibacterial liquid
So the nice Formica top will shine like new
No trace
No bad feelings

***

White and brown
Everything I see is made of those two
No
Wait
My hand
It is alien to this post-Christmas scene
My neighbor with his shovel
I can hear his heavy breathing from across the street
And I go home
Snow on my boots

***

Dog behind the fence
Throwing himself violently
Against the wooden obstacle
Snarling and barking
As if it's the end of the world
C'mon buddy
Cheer up
I look into the sky
Clear
Blue
Just a couple of feathery clouds
I make a little giggling sound
And thank this reddish-brown fence
Passing by

***

Tree
Lights
Snow outside
I am alone
Night
What book should I take
From the shelf
Looking at me
Ivory netsky
With belly laughing
At me
Probably
Who else
Everyone else is asleep

***

Love to speak slowly
Love to take what comes to me
As something not related
To you
To me
To us we're just two faces
with eyes
with eyes....

***

There to be only one at a time
Some to remind of
And then to be sure
Any of those who suppose
Recognize only so much
Of what said to be the one

***

I asked the postman
And he
Turned his head looking back
To the tunnel between the trees
And houses along the street

What's the matter?
Your bag...
It's heavier then usually today
Or am I causing you detour
With dogs and puddles
On the rim of afternoon delivery spree
I guess this won't make you fatter
Than those who sent you
With a bunch of junk
Mail
You may call it

Suffocation will not be your fate
No
Maybe some arthritis
It all depends on diet
And stress
What else?

I'll lock my door
And listen to the knock
Of the metal box

No question
For today
Go your marry way
You are free

***

You said something
The words hung in the stiff air
I took them one by one
And I made a pattern
That made everything impossible
At the same moment
A little bubble that contained us
Broke
And we turned into time

***

Dark and somewhat soft silhouette
Of the distant trees
Like a cautious bird
That sits in dry grass

Waiting

Its black shiny eye
Bead-like and nervous and still
Wings flattened
The beak is pointing up
Ready to jump up into the cold air
Flapping its wings
Trying to feel invisible resistance
Of the emptiness
Above the heavy mass of the raw landscape

You stepped up to me
And you smile
Just a bit
While keeping your eye
On that pearly sky
With no wind
Or bird

***

If you allow me to have you
Like a tree gives itself to rain
Its every leaf and branch
And every underground root
While it rains
It has it all
I can be as gentle and quiet
Like a ...
But no rain is forever
In this beloved world

***

Tree
Do you know that
I am walking by?
And some other people
Actually countless number of them
Dogs
Cats
Pigeons
Do you feel
When a nail is driven
To the juicy meat
Of your bark?
Can you know that?
When a fat squirrel
Jumping from branch to branch
Flirting
With another fat squirrel
Twitching its tail
Making noise

When the cold weather and rain
Starting hitting hard

***

Such little sadness
It sits above the blank spot on the wall
Right where you are looking

This afternoon didn't come without its price
There
Outside the house
The rain takes care
Of what you wanted to do for a long time

Winter still holds you on that note
Where you stopped whispering

Love
Can you alone hold it indefinitely
Cherish and protect it?

Bird is not a bird
While sitting in its nest
Only when it flies

That's how love
Can only live between you two
And never just in one

***

On such occasion
When you feel like falling off the window
Like a baby bird falls off the nest
Just to be discovered by a cat

You may wish
That the day would be of a special clarity
Sunny
And little bit warm

It also nice
To have some flowers
Not much
But just enough to say
At least it's not winter

On such occasion
You want to be seen
By somebody who knows words
Of the song you always tried to remember
But never could

And if you fall
Please
Make sure – not into the hard ground
It should be a grand endless falling
Into some whiteness

Light and easy
Like a feather
Dropped by a wing of a white bird...

***

Wind followed me along the edges
Of the semi frozen pond
Ducks
Noisy seagulls were disturbing slightly
This otherwise silent place
Three dead fish
Quite big – about twenty inches long
I noticed them on the grass
They were frozen too
Like everything else
That didn't manage to live
In this cold and windy morning
